NEWLY ELECTED KAZI FELICITATED

Kazi for Chennai district Maulana Usman Mohideen sahib was felicitated. 

Today newly elected Kazi to the TN government was falicitated at Purasawalkam Masjid. A new marriage dafthar was given to those Masjids who urgently required it. In future only this dafthar has to be used by all in Chennai district.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 2 of the Kazis Act,1880 (Central Act XII of 1880, the Governor of Tamil Nadu bereby appoints Thiru. N.P. Usman Mohideen, S/o Thiru. N. Peer Mohamed, residing at New No. 7, Old No. 7212, 1st Avenue, Ashok Nagar, Chennai District as the Kazi (Sunnis) for CHENNAI DISTRICT. He shall hold the office of the District Kazi for a period of three years from the date of issue of this order.

In the letter head of Kazi Usman Mohideen sahib, we find the name as Chief Kazi. It seems it has to be changed as Kazi. 

Ko. Fayyaz Ahmed sahib was the first person in the group to point out that he was Kazi for Chennai District. I thank him.
