Mr. Sherman Ali Ahmed, 44yrs, BSc(Forestry); BA. He is an alumni of Cotton College, Guwahati. Served Deptt. of Forest, Govt of Assam as a Forest Ranger till he joined politics in March,2011. A social worker by spirit, marked his victory in the election with a overwhelming support of 61000plus votes against his nearest competitor Rajib Ahmed(INC) who got 28000plus votes. The people of Baghbar have some fundamental problems such as poverty, unemployment, 'D' voters, river errosion, road communication, education etc. he has to work on. People have faith on his leadership and are waiting hopefully for the days of their dreams.
