The Kerala based co-operative society by name “Sanghamam Multi State Co-operative Credit Society” has proposal to open its branch in Chennai as it has done in some other places in Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry and Kerala. At a meeting held on Saturday, 10th December 2016 at 6.15 pm at IFT hall at Perambur in Chennai some of its directors explained in detail how this Society functions. The hall was full with interested people.
The main objective of the Society is to enhance the financial uplift and overall development of the downtrodden through micro finance. It helps people in promoting small scale business. One can become its member by buying its shares. It accepts interest free investments and provides security and safe returns, it says in its pamphlet.
